Visual Oil Analysis

Oils are fluids that play a vital role in keeping your assets running smoothly. Knowing the condition of your oil provides important information on the overall health of your assets and helps you track its performance.

For quick and easy visual of the condition in your working machines, we have durable and clear sight glasses. These well constructed applications do not discolor by time, since they are chemical resistant.

Product Lineup

3-D BullsEye

With its high-performance clear polyamide construction, the 3-D BullsEye oil sight glass offers precise and quick visual oil level monitoring from almost any viewpoint. Excellent impact, chemical, and UV resistance are provided by the naturally robust material, which is engineered to outperform and outlive conventional viewports.

Oil Tank Sight Glasses

Our Oil Sight Glass (OSG), also known as a “bottom sediment and water bowl” (BS&W bowl), can be extremely helpful in the early detection of contamination and enable continuous monitoring of the substances in your oil that may shorten the life of your equipment. Thanks to an inventive white bottom design, users can examine the oil instantly and clearly, as well as see sedimentation up close. The OSG can be placed either vertically or horizontally to a drain port, depending on the application’s requirements for available space. The inclusion of indicator markings on the bottle’s side allows you to swiftly and simply keep an eye on how rapidly water is accumulating.

Recommended Temperature Range

  • -40˚F to 200˚F (-40˚C to 93˚C)

Maximum Operating Pressure

  • 65 psi (4.48 bar)

Material

  • Transparent polyamide
  • Brass Hex nipple
  • Brass drain valve

Available Options

  • 1/4″, 3/8″, and 1/2″ Hex nipples
  • 1oz and 3oz
  • 16oz and 32oz sizes
  • Available in acrylic
  • Stainless steel fittings
  • Magnetic drain valve for collecting ferrous material

Oil Level Indicator (OLI)

The OLI features 1/2′′ NPT holes at both ends and is a distinctly high-performance polyamide column. The OLI comes with red and green level marker stickers to indicate the running and idle oil levels, as well as upper and lower restrictions. Operators can visually monitor the fluid level in reservoirs by using the drain port.

Oil Sight Glass Level (OSGL)

While keeping an eye on the amount of oil in the reservoir, the OSGL lets you see the color, clarity, and buildup of water or other impurities in the oil. It comes in a variety of lengths, from 3′′ to 24′′, which match the distance from the oil reservoir access port and the highest point the oil will go. In order to collect representative oil samples without drawing in outside impurities, a sampling tube can be connected to the secondary 3/8 NPT port located across from the installation nipple.
